Connection guide / Claude
Connect Claude to Segue.
Connect Segue once. Then ask Claude to save your project or pick up where you left off.
Claude web & Desktop
Add a custom connector in Claude:
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it Segue and paste this server URL.
- Connect, sign in to Segue and approve the permissions you want to grant.
https://segue.ai/mcp
You’ll need a Segue account with a verified email. Claude Free allows one custom connector. On team accounts, an owner may need to add it first.
Using Claude Code?
Run this command in your terminal to add Segue for your user account.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user segue https://segue.ai/mcp
Then open /mcp inside Claude Code, select Segue and follow the sign-in steps.
Pick up a project
Start a Claude chat with Segue enabled, then send this prompt:
Use Segue to list my contexts. Ask me which project to resume, then load its existing handle and summarize the next action. Do not create a duplicate.
Claude will list your saved contexts and ask which one to load. You choose what to share and save.
Need a hand?
I can’t add a custom connector
Claude Free supports one custom connector. Check whether you already have one. On a team or work account, ask an administrator to add Segue. Check Claude’s requirements.
Sign-in isn’t finishing
Verify your Segue email, allow the sign-in window, then return to the same client after approving access. Remote connectors need the public HTTPS server URL shown above.
Claude shows a custom connector warning
This means Anthropic has not verified the custom connector. Check the URL and requested permissions before authorizing it.
